HANOVER, NJ — The Hanover Tigers put together a win in every phase on Saturday, rolling past the Butler Bulldogs 27-6 with scores through the air, on the ground, and a defense that barely bent.
EVERY PHASE CHIPPED IN
The scoring opened through the air, as Hank Deraney found Anthony Hradil in stride for a 30-yard touchdown pass — the strike in the featured play above. Deraney added a touchdown run later, and Connor Daley chewed up yards with several long runs as the Tigers pulled away.
THE DEFENSE DID ITS PART
Butler's offense found no room to breathe. Nicholas DiMuzio ripped the ball loose for a huge strip that turned the Bulldogs over, and when Butler lined up for an extra point, Lucas Dahl came up with the tackle that kept it off the board — and Dahl closed the game out, recovering a fumble to end it. The Bulldogs managed just six points all afternoon against a defense that hit, hustled and took the ball away.
Touchdowns throwing it, touchdowns running it, two takeaways and a stand on the extra point — a 27-6 win the whole Tigers sideline earned together.
